May Kickstarter Update: Production is Complete

posted in: blog | 0

I got word a few weeks ago that production is complete on all the rewards for Brass Empire.  All of my Kickstarter funds have been spent prepaying for shipping and paying for all the rewards so we are very close to the finish line now.  ShipNaked has already received some of the rewards (playmats I think) and we are just waiting on the final games from China to arrive before we start fulfillment.  I was hoping to have a clear arrival date from the manufacturer before posting this update, but alas I don’t have the tracking info yet.  I will of course update you all as soon as I have a precise timeline.  My guess is that we will start fulfillment this month and everyone will start receiving games by June. I will let you know as soon as I know more.

Preorders are closing soon!

We’ve been getting a brand new stream of preorders coming in since PAX East (and CTFig this past weekend). As soon as we receive the games here in the US and start fulfillment, we will be closing down the preorders.  There’s still time to reserve your copy of Brass Empire bypreordering from our website. If you’re a backer, use the coupon code KICKSTART to save on shipping.

PAX East / CT-FIG

PAX East was a ton of fun and it was great having so many people play and love the final game. I even got to meet a few backers throughout the weekend which was cool.  Of course the coolest part of the whole weekend was that Jerry Holkins (Tycho of Penny-Arcade) bought a copy of the 2P travel version.

This past weekend we went up to CT-Fig and had a great day of demos and let people play some longer games of Brass Empire.  It’s awesome to see that games are close no matter how big the Mining Pool.

GenCon 2016

I am happy to report that we will be attending and showcasing Brass Empire at GenCon in the Indie Game Alliance booth all 4 days.  I will post our exact schedule when we get closer to the event, but we should have final copies for sale there as well.  You may also see me in the First Exposure Playtest hall prototyping some new things…
